International Women’s Day

On the eve of International Women’s Day, a talk was organized for female employees of I Gate, Whitefield Bangalore on 8^th March 2013. Dr. Geeta S. Narayanan from Kalp Cancer Foundation delivered lecture on awareness on Breast cancer. Topics such as risk factors for breast cancer, change in life style to reduce the risk factors, prevention and early detection of breast cancer were discussed in this program.

As there are no defined guidelines for mass screening of breast cancer, the emphasis was on the awareness of early signs and symptoms and self breast examination. The entire session was very interactive because of the enthusiastic audience. At the end, brief introduction was given to Kalp Cancer Foundation and request was made to support the foundation and its cause.
