Free Cancer Screening Camp at Holur

The cancer screening camp was organized at Primary Health Centre, Holur on 3/8/14 by Kalp Cancer Foundation in association with SSVS trust, Srinivasapura. The camp was very well attended.
The villages covered were Holur, Somasandra, Itharasanhalli, Muduvadi, Annenahalli and Bennangur. Nine people were identified with potentially malignant lesions. Oral smears were taken. Biopsy was taken in suspicious cases. VIA was positive in 3 females. PAP smears were taken in these cases and sent for cytology. One case of oral tongue cancer was found and was sent to tertiary cancer centre for further management. Mr. Srinivas Murthy of SSVS trust and staff of the PHC extended full support to make the camp successful.
